District 94 includes Lake Vista, Lakeshore, Lake Terrace, Lake Oaks, Lakewood, Lakeview, Country Club Gardens, Parkview, City Park, and parts of Mid-City, Gentilly and Faubourg St John. Two of the three great levee breeches that transformed Katrina from a disaster to a catastrophe happened in House District 94. The district bore the brunt of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' failure to properly construct the levees that were supposed to protect us. What the levees gave District 94 was a false sense of security.
